Drawing upon a rich trove of archival material, Sold Out Design presents Where is the Park? curated by Teodora Kotseva. This exhibition showcases not only the artistic expressions and pivotal moments that shaped the local skate community but also highlights the cultural impact of this subculture on Sofia's urban landscape. The iconic meeting point in the "Park" beneath the recently demolished Russian monument serves as a poignant symbol of the complex socio-political landscape in Bulgaria. Its removal, a deeply controversial act within society, reflects ongoing debates about history, identity, and memory. Featuring striking photographs by renowned photographers Aleksander Stanishev, Mihail Novakov, and Veliko Balabanov, the exhibition captures the raw energy and aesthetic of skateboarding in the city while framing it against the backdrop of this significant change.
