DIMITRA ZERVOU
BUT THIS IS A THIN DREAM
Dimitra Zervou, a Greek artist based in Athens, brings forth a compelling collection of glass works that meld the boundaries between sculpture and installation. Each piece in this series invites the viewer into a delicate interplay between the ephemeral and the enduring, reflecting Zervou’s ongoing fascination with the mutable nature of memory.
Each piece, though partly sculptural, pushes the limits of its medium, presenting an intriguing dialogue between the materiality of glass and the intangible quality of the memories it seeks to evoke. These works resonate with a quiet intensity.
Dimitra Zervou’s practice is deeply informed by the rich cultural and historical tapestry of Greece. Living and working in Athens, her work is characterised by a thoughtful engagement with themes of memory, time, and perception. She holds an Integrated MA from the Athens School of Fine Arts, and her work has been featured in exhibitions including the Mystery 56 at the 4th Culture 2030 meeting in Eleusis and Contemporary Womanhood 1.0 at MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona in Athens.
